Tallahassee – The Florida Defense Contractors Association (FDCA), Florida’s premier statewide defense business development organization, supports all efforts to encourage government prime and subprime contractors to consider Florida vendors and partners in their business plans. Florida is widely recognized as a business-friendly state and a substantial defense industry supports our larger national defense community from within Florida.
Enterprise Florida has consistently played an important role in fostering a supportive business environment in which defense companies of all sizes can compete fairly for government business and thrive. Their success stories are many.
Gene Moran, Executive Director of FDCA, stated, “We look forward to furthering our mission of helping defense companies in Florida strengthen their business development efforts through all available means and channels. We see the outcomes of the efforts of Enterprise Florida as worth preserving for the good of the defense industry across the state.”
The Florida Defense Contractors Association (FDCA) Board of Directors announces Gene Moran, President of Capitol Integration, as FDCA’s Executive Director. As Executive Director, Mr. Moran will coordinate external communications, event programming and membership issues.

He is a retired US Navy Captain and well-established government relations expert in the defense and security industries. Of the appointment Moran said, “I am excited for this new role with FDCA, particularly as the nation welcomes a new administration and the discussion around our national security interests becomes even more prominent. I am grateful to the FDCA for this opportunity to continue to develop and strengthen the business interests of Florida’s defense industry.”
FDCA Chairman, Noel McCormick, President of McCormick Stevenson Engineering and Design of Largo, FL, said, “We could not be more pleased that Gene Moran has agreed to take on the critical role of Executive Director. Together with our association management firm, Wilson and Associates of Tallahassee, FL, our leadership team has now evolved to even better reflect the world-class membership of FDCA.”
